What have been some other alternatives for Matilda handling the duck? Matilda seems very confused.
I suppose we could have roasted it Peking style but people had voted against the Jabberwonky being killed hence his reclamation project in chapter 12.
I think, personally, I wouldn’t have ever had the Duck be an option but I think we made it work. An odd turn of events though.
You’d be confused too if you suddenly could speak every animal language. Even talking to a gibbon,
Black-crested and Yellow-cheeked have very different dialects, don’t you know?
